Or you can use any other powdered abrasive cleaner. Get the shower floor wet, then sprinkle liberally with cleaner. Using a wet rag or sponge, rub the cleaner into the tiles, putting in some extra elbow grease on the grout and around the edges of the shower. Rinse the cleaner down the drain, rinse out the sponge, then use the rinsed sponge to scrub any remaining cleaner out of the corners or out from around the shower drain.
I know it’s mostly for shower walls, but if you spray it on the shower floor after you get out every morning, it will help keep soap scum and buildup off the floor too. Just remember that if you spray on more than a light coating you’ll need to splash some water around before you next get in the shower to rinse the cleaner down the drain.
A lot of people forget to do this part when they clean the shower, so it’ll probably be even nastier than cleaning the toilet. If your shower has a drain cover that comes off, pry it up, pull all the hair and gunk off of it and scrub it clean in the sink. Scrub around the drain area before snapping the cover back into place. If the drain cover in your shower doesn’t come off, use tweezers to pull all of the hair you can up through the holes, then use scissors to cut any hair or string you can’t pull up and out. Scrub around the drain cover with an old toothbrush.
My grandma always swore by a good stiff floor brush for cleaning the bathtub, it really gets all the nasty stuff out of the cracks and crevices. Use hot soapy water, and rinse the floor well so it won’t be slippery. A really good way to clean if you’re sensitive to chemical cleaners.
Spray bathroom cleaning fluid all over the shower floor, making sure it gets into the corners. Turn on the bathroom fan so the fumes won’t build up and wait about ten minutes, then turn on the water and rinse all of the bubbles down the drain. Use a sponge to wipe off anything that the first water rinse didn’t take care of, and then rinse the shower one last time.
