Rub the collar stain with shampoo designed for oily hair. Let sit for a few minutes, then launder as usual. Also good for greasy stains in other places on clothing.
Dishwashing detergent works well for this, too.
The best cleaner for this, for me, is Kosher soap. WOrks every time.
If you are having a hard time with a stain try using Coca-Cola on it. It can not be any generic form- it has to be “the real thing”. It is amazing what it can get out of clothes.
