R. asked: How do I loosen (dilute) hardened liquid shoe polish?
Unless shoe polish is used regularly, it will begin to dry out and become difficult to dispense from the container. If the shoe polish is a solid wax, it can be softened by heating it gently. It can also be applied to the surface of the shoe and then worked in. The heat from the friction will soften some polish and make it more manageable.
Liquid shoe polish cannot be diluted once it has dried out. In these cases, it is best to replace the bottle and start with fresh. Fortunately, shoe polish is cheap and readily available at nearly all stores.
