No, don’t use ivory soap! Use white tooth paste. Makes sense, since an ivory tusk is kind of a big tooth!

My mother, a home ec. graduate, always cleaned her Steinway ivory piano keys with milk. This tip would date from 1913 through 1955.

Covergirl Makeup stains on piano keys?

Does anyone know how to remove stains on my Kawai piano keys (not ivory keys)? Only some of the most frequently used keys have the stains. The stains came from a residual amount of Covergirl makeup that were left on my fingers over several years. While the stains aren’t really bad- they are certainly noticeable in good light. I would appreciate any help! Thanks
