I have found brake cleaner works wonders on indelible ink on your walls and furniture without harming surfaces.

if you get sharpie on your walls or furniture, i have found that dry erase board cleaner works incredible on getting it out without harming the surface. give it a try it works great! (don’t attempt on clothing)

not for use on walls but many smooth surfaces: rubbing alchohol will easily remove sharpie

Try some WD-40. It helped take off the marker on a glossy finish…..the satin and flat finishes still needed a TSP cleaning, then a spot of paint touch-up after I was done.
