We learned the hard way that a little spray of Pam will help loosen tree sap (in our case, pine) from your pet’s coat. Please, don’t spray near the facial area – apply to your hand first and then apply. A little goes a long way and takes some patience, but it will usually get the bulk of the crud out without tugging.
Keep your pet’s feet and the carpet clean the easy way. Every time my dog comes in from outside, I use a pre-moistened “baby wipe” (non-alcohol kind) and I wipe off her paws and tush. This keeps her clean and smelling good, and less dirt on the carpets.
