How to Clean Cockroaches

You need boric acid, a small can of sweetened condensed milk, wax paper (or smooth platter) and a putty knife. Pour the sweetened condensed milk into a bowl and add a small amount of boric acid. Stir them together and add another smail amount of boric acid. Keep adding the boric acid in small quantities until the mixture is the consistency of clay (or pie dough).

Use a spoon to pull out small amounts (the size of a bead or pearl) and set them on wax paper or a smooth plate to dry for about an hour. You want the edges jagged so the cockroaches can eat it easily. Use up about half of the mixture.

Pull out larger quantities and roll them into long ropes. Use a putty knife to seal cracks in the back of cupboards, behind the toilet, along baseboards, etc. Wet you finger (not with your mouth!) and run it along the seam to make a smooth-looking finish. When this dries it looks like caulk and can be painted, if necessary.

Take the little blobs that you set aside to dry and put them under the stove, the fridge, your computer, or anywhere that is normally out of sight and can’t be sealed with the ropes. If you have drop ceilings make sure to throw the blobs above the ceiling tiles.

Depending on the infestation, you will see dead roaches within a few hours and no roaches within a week. This will last for years in a single family home. In an apartment building, you’ll have to replace the blobs every couple of years.

Purchase a box of Borax used for washing clothing. Sprinkle it along walls, under sinks, stoves, fridges, along tops of cupboards and anywhere you know roaches will walk. Roaches like to groom themselves. The Borax sticks to their legs, they track it back to their nests, they lick it off, it jells in their stomach where it can’t be expelled, and they die. Usually cures infestations in less than a week. Leave the Borax down all the time and it will take care of any new outbreaks.

buy conbat gel and put i little in each room!! it works for me!! the people down stairs are loaded with cockroaches and thay don’t use conbat gel!! the conbat gel keeps the cockroaches away from my apt.!!!! and the people across the hall from me don’t have roaches eather!! you can buy it at any walmart store or kmart!! no mess and no smelley spray!! and best of all no roaches!!!!

Most cockroaches will clean themselves with their claws, but if necessary, you can gently sponge off the carapace with plain water or a very weak solution of water and dishwashing soap. Never use solvents, as cockroaches breathe through their skin and can easily be asphyxiated.

I normally cook and eat cockroaches whole, but if you insist on cleaning them, I would recommend using a very small, very sharp blade, such as an X-Acto knife or a razor blade, to slit around the edge of the carapace, pry the body open and use the tip of the blade to scoop out the digestive and excretory organs.
