Take a trip to your local grocery store and buy a box of grits sold next to the oatmeal. Sprinkle the dry grits directly from the container whereever you see the ants. I’ve used this in windowsills, around the foundation outside of the house and around the base of a pine tree loaded with ants. Works everytime. The ants eat the grits, and later drink water and explode.

are you trying to clean the ants or kill them? And how do you recommend cleaning the remains from the exploded ants?
