When my sons were 4 and 6 they snuck into my studio and decided to paint each other (!) I was frantic because I couldn’t make myself clean their faces and hair (!) with turpentine.
Olive oil on a clean cloth took everything off of the tender skin without any damage.
Works on hard wood floors, too.
Sunlight liquid dish soap is best for cleaning oil paint off skin and safe.
To clean tar off your skin, rub spot with baby oil using a rag. Simple as that!
Baby oil works on oil based timber stain too. Just tested it on my 4 old who got covered in it. Worked in his hair too.
