Random Tips for Organizing Recipes

  • This tip is pretty basic, but it’s helped me to organize all of my recipes by meal type. You know, soups, breads, desserts, meats, etc..
  • I just use a regular three-ring binder and those plastic document holder thingies. This lets me transfer the recipe from a book, magazine, printout, or napkin without having to re-write it. I just throw it into the plastic sleeve and I’m done!
  • When I find a new recipe I want to try, I put it into the very front of my recipe book, that way when I go to look for something yummy to make it’s the first thing I see – if I don’t do that then I forget about them and I end up with a huge stack of untried but yummy-looking recipes.
